17th CENTURY SHIP | 3D PRINTED SCALE MODEL

& designstudio

We've realized the creation of a 17th century model-ship “The Seven Provinces” by leading a curated team of 3D printing and model making experts.

The whole project took us 8 months from early design to final model making in The Netherlands and Belgium. The ship, which measures 1,70 by 1,40 meters, was personally crated and transported to London by the & designshop team. This ship is by far the biggest scale model replica 3D printed to date!

The ship was created for a company which has a strong bond with the history of shipping and shares the same 17th century foundation. Their strong vision on the use of technology and innovative thinking combined with the passion for craftsmanship led them start working together with & designshop.
